A festival for lovers. ⁣🌟💕 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ Tanabata, which is also known as the Star Festival is a Japanese holiday that is held on various days between July and August, depending on the region it is being celebrated in.⁣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ According to legend, there are two lovers named Orihime and Hikoboshi who are separated by the Milky Way and they can only meet on one day – the Tanabata – which is why this day is celebrated. ⁣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣ People celebrate the day by writing wishes, sometimes in the form of poetry on small pieces of paper and hanging them on bamboo.
